Terrain: As with all sportive challenges, this tour involves serious climbs and daily distances. Wonderful scenary and food being a fantastic reward for all efforts!

Sardinia is like heaven to any keen road cyclist: the roads are perfectly paved and free from motorised traffic. The coast is stunning with a complete mixture of landscapes...white sand beaches, granite mountains and rocky coves. Therein lies the reason why it has become a paradise to welcome the international Jet Set!

Moving west along the northern part of Sardinia we move inland and see the hills and lakes of Sant'Antonio di Gallura, through the dramatic stone formation of Valley of the Moon, enjoy spectacular views of the Anglona rolling hills and pastures and finish the tour in Alghero, probably the nicest town in Sardinia.

This trip offers the cyclists the chance to see very different aspects of life in Sardinia,  fantastic cycling and a lot of spectacular scenery!

DAY 2: Alghero to Mores (81km / 1270m)

The coastal road South of Alghero is one of the most scenic in the whole island and a perfect warm up for the "wall", a challenging climb leading inland towards Villanova Monteleone. After a spectacular descent over Lake Temo, it’s a Mangia e bevi (Italian cycling slang defining a rolling hill terrain) all the way to Mores, passing sleepy hamlets on the way.

Alternatively, you can go for a more challenging inland route. Both routes end in Olbia, the lively capital of Gallura that opens onto a turquoise bay and dazzling beaches where you can relax savouring some of the local specialities, accompanied by a glass of cold vermentino wine.
