Sportive

Want something more challenging? Try a sportif tour...

What are Sportives?

For us as cyclists it means fairly serious cycling challenges. You may have heard of the Etape du Tour in France or the Wicklow 200 and Ring of Kerry in Ireland. These events are not races but they require training and preparation to complete. The challenge can come from the terrain in the form of hills or from the the distance or from the combination of both of these. You can push yourself as hard as you want or take your time. The thrill comes from the combination of a fantastic sense of achievement and the journey through wonderful scenery.

We are running a number of Sportive events in 2016 that you can join us on....

Cote to Cote ( featuring Provence in Southern France )
Tour de France
Geneva to Nice
Northern Sardinia

As well as the above tours we are also organising a number of other cycling challenges for various Irish Charities in 2016. If you would like to be involved in these cycles you just need to contact the charity involved...

We are all cyclists ourselves, we love the bike. So we reckon we have a good idea about what cyclists like. We know that you don't want to cycle on major roads with heavy traffic so we carefully research and actually check out the route we are going to bring you. We love riding on quiet scenic back roads so we seek these out for you. We know how precious that beautiful full carbon bike is to you so for our overseas events we carefully transport your bike wrapped in cardboard by van while you fly.

We source accommodation according to your needs and lunch stops which provide tasty fuel for the road.

We are aware that you may need refueling between meals during the ride so we provide feed stations with a variety of tasty treats. Your bike cared for by our experienced mechanics who have full tool kit and and lots of spare bits and pieces on the van. One of the beauties of cycling is the feeling of unburdened freedom it generates. This can be reduced seriously if you have to carry bags on your back or bike. We want you to enjoy this feeling to its fullest so we transport your bags every day.

We even have an experienced guide on the bike with you so you don't even have to worry about taking the wrong turn or getting lost.We can come and talk to you and/or your group to discuss what routes distances and destinations that suit you. We can provide training programmes, prepared by a level 3 coach specifically for your event and can come and talk to your group about preparing for the event. In essence our objective is to take all the worry and hassle of planning, organising, booking, and implementing away from you so that you can enjoy the spin, the scenery, the stories and the spread of wonderful local cuisine.
